could somebody point me to a place online where i can find a cheap ball
joint puller for my 87 accord. if it can also remove tie rods that would be great too. i have tried using a seperator fork and i feel that they cause too much damage with the ball joint. i have the honda shop manual and they say honda makes one with the part number 07gac-se00100 but i dont know where to find this or any other ball joint puller/remover. please help me out. thanks. ps i dont care if its a low quality tool because i will only use it a couple of t imes. |

I have had good success at using a three point gear puller. Once you get
pressure on the ball joint, smack the side of the ball joint with a hammer and it will break loose with no damage to the ball joint. I have changed three different drive axles using this tool. I don't own a separator fork and never will. If you live in Canada you can go to any Canadian Tire store and they will
lend you one for free. You just have to leave a deposit which is returned to you when you return the tool. I understand that some automotive stores in the States also have this service.
