The manual says that there is a connector for hooking up trailer lights
behind the rear cargo panel on the left side.

All I see is the rear radio speaker, do you have to remove the speaker to
axcess this harness?

Pop the grille off with a screwdriver, then remove three Phillips screws
and unplug the speaker. Set it aside.
