Default 1996 Accord LX

I have 120,000 miles on this car . What type of maintenance is required on
this vehicle at this time ?
I dont remember when was the last time i changed the transmission fluid . I
have new tires that i put in at 105,000 miles.
I put in michelin tires. I dont know if it was a smart decision.

Bleed the whole brake system and replace with new fresh brake fluid (For
Hondas I think is Dot-3 or 4) if you haven't done it yet in the last 2
years.

Purge the power steering system and replace with new steering fluid for
Honda cars.

Check the timing belt and if it's time, be ready to buy a new water pump,
new engine seals and perhaps a new thermostat.

Your new tires is no a big deal after or before the 105,00 miles, it's a
minimum thing to do to your car when there are internal parts that are way
more important.

I use low mile tires on my civic 91, I prefer to pay less and replace them
more often, than having a 45, 50 etc thousand miles on a tire!..Remember,
the tires also do suspension work for your car, a tire that has been exposed
for too long to the wear, bumping and ride, it's a tire that also looses
it's shape internally, and as a consecuence, looses performance!..

Don't know when trans fluid was changed????
You're looking at problems if trans fluild in not change out.
Replace all fluids, Power steering, Trans, Engine, Coolant.
Timing belt needs to be changed out, replace all related part in that
area, water pump, timing belt tensioner bearing, seals, gasket, etc, and
replace all the belts. Thermostat and Radiator Hoses may need replacing.
If you just replace timing belt to save money, you will spend the same
labor later to replace the other items.
Its a gamble, if you intend to keep car, spend the extra money for the
other parts and alittle more labor cost.
