Well, I have a happy ending (so far) to my story. I bought a used 2000
Odyssey. To my horror, the transmission went KAPUT on my way home. Isn't that a nasty coincidence? A dealership on the way home (a 1700 mile trip) diagnosed the DOA transmission, but also delivered the good news about the warranty. I made it home (I bought transmission fluid by the gallon.) My dealership here at home didn't blink an eye at my predicament. They cheerfully replaced the trans. I got the vehicle back a couple of days ago. So far, so good. Perry |
