Default Honda Accord CD Player

I have a 2000 Honda Accord that came with the factory in-dash CD player.
I've having absolutely no luck in getting it to play burnt CDs. I've tried
multiple CD manufacturer brands and dye techologies with no luck.
Has anyone who has this year, make and model car had any luck finding the
right combination of blank CDs to use? I'm trying to avoid buying a new CD
player and potentially lose my keyless remote capabilities.

You won't lose your keyless remote capabilities if you remove the radio.
You may have heard rumor of something like that; that was on the Civic,
not the Accord.

Replace away.

You can test this by removing the head unit. It's brutally simple;
three screws and a yank to remove the trim piece, and 4 8mm bolts to
remove the radio so you can pull the single wire harness plug from it.
Then try your remote. It'll work, guaranteed.

I have had no problems with the 2000 TL playing burned CDs of any brand.
You mention trying different brands, but have you tried different burners,
or different burning speeds (try one burnt at 1X)? Your problem might be a
result of the way they are being burned.

See this entry in the CDR FAQ; maybe it will help:
http://www.cdrfaq.org/faq04.html#S4-23

Make sure you select the options for "disc at once" and finalize the CD
(so they're called in Nero).

I have a 2001 Accord with the 6 CD, in dash player. I use nothing but
burned CDs, never had a problem. I am using Music Blank CDs not Data
CDs?

I have a 2001 Accord with the single CD player. Make sure that you're
burning your CDs in a format that the player can read.

Tried the lower burning speeds to no avail. Thanks though.

I have the single CD player too. The formats I'm using are fine.. I owned
a 97 Civic prior to this car, and only had luck playing burnt cds with Azo
Dye Technology (blue). But with this Accord, nothing I have works.
I'm using FujiFilm 52x CDRs and Verbatim 52x CDRs. The FujiFilm plays, but
takes forever to see the disc, especially when switching tracks. The
Verbatim discs are spit out by the CD player almost immediately...it can't
read them at all.
Brian, what brand and dye technology blank CDs are you using?
