Rubbing alcohol will remove permanent maker from most surfaces, so i don't see why it wouldn't work on a car. Don't use it full strength at first (apply with a damp cloth) and wax the full panel afterwards. |

"Sharpie" ink can be removed with a rag soaked in a little denatured
alcohol (***NOT*** Rubbing alcohol). You can find denatured alcohol at Lowes and Home Depot stores usually in the paint department. Denatured alcohol will not hurt the paint. If the car has been waxed, no problem to use a bit of Laquer thinner. Rewax when you're done. 'Curly' |

Sharpie ink will easily come off if you rub it with a vodka soaked paper towel, which is much less harsh than denatured alcohol or lacquer thinner. |

Scratch-X. Or some light rubbing compound.

It did the trick, can still see it if you look at it in the right light (like shade difference) but I think that'll go a way once I wash/wax the car. |

You should have tried the vodka, I wasn't kidding. |

try the Mr Clean Magic Eraser. It's the safe way to clean.
