Hey,
Just want to say thanks to the guys here for helping me out a couple months back. I posted under the heading "Air intake too loud" and we had concluded that the mechanical timing was off. Yesterday, after my semester was completed, I rolled the Civic into the garage, took everything apart and upon making the first piston TDC, there it was. The white marks I had placed on the camshaft pulley were off by one tooth. The crankshaft pulley must have turned originally because the marks on the camshaft pulley were lined up. Anyway... So I adjusted the timing, triple checked it, put everything back and the car sounded beautiful. Not to mention i'm back at full strength...power-wise. With the timing off and having to turn the AC on, I had one slow ride. ![]() The only odd...well, maybe not odd...thing to occur was the car died on me twice after the initial start.
