Default Power Steering pump bad on 95 Honda Accord once a month

The power steering pump goes bad on my '95 accord about every month to six
weeks. The new power steering fluid turns black in about two weeks. I keep
changing the fluid and it continues to turn black and I have to replace
the pump. I can not find any leaks. When I install the new pumps they work
like new, but won't last. I have not found any of them getting hot! Does
anyone have any ideas why the fluid is turning bad and the pumps going
bad?

Why are you replacing the pumps?

Honda type. I buy it a Advance Disc. auto, and at NAPA. It is made by Gunk
and is specifically made for honda use!

Hi Steve, The pump starts squealling and the wheels get hard to turn. When
this happens I replace the pump, clean out the old fluid and add new Honda
type fluid, and after that, it will work great for a while!

First of all, stop using Honda type fluid.

Use Honda fluid.

good chance it's a bad rack, seals are breaking down. a pump should
last a lot longer.
