Default 2004 Odyssey EX w/Nav pricing

Guys,

I have my eye on a 2004 Odyssey with the Navigation system and I'm
wondering what my first offer should be and what I should
realistically hold to.

Invoice is showing as $27,429 plus a destination charge of $490 though
Edmunds shows a $50 credit on the destination charge and I have no
idea why.

A website I got onto suggested $28,085 as the target price but that
seems really light.

I also have a few options I'm interested in and the prices at the
local dealer seem EXHORBITANT.

Fog Lights
Splash Guards
Cross Bar
Ski Attachment (requires cross bar)
Armrest Storage

Honda's main site shows those at $429, $89, $139, $139 and $125
respectively.

On a sheet on the Odyssey at the dealer they showed they wanted $150
for the splash guards and $450 for the cross bar alone. I clearly do
not trust these guys at all on options. I once had them price me out a
remote starter unit for a car I bought there in 2002 and they quoted
me $350. I found out where they order them from and, installed, the
same exact unit from that dealer was $160 and they'd come to wherever
the car was to put it in!

So, without the options what would be the best offer to hold to and
with the options what do you think?

What about $28,085 without options and $28,675 with?

The harder part of this will be the trade-in. Bluebook is showing
about $1,000 lower than my pay-off, though Edmunds says I should get
exactly what my pay-off is.

My dealer here in OKC sold me a EXL at invoice without question. You should
be able to do the same. Your $27,429 is the right numbe to start with. my
info comes from - http://www.invoicedealers.com

Well, for what it's worth, apparently the waiting game is working. The
sales manager called today to ask why I didn't buy and immediately
made several concessions.

First he said he'd included all their "VEK" (Vehicle Enhancement Kit)
additions (mats, cargo tray, pin-striping, splash guards, etching) for
free, second he'd waive the document fee (which, as I said before,
they always say they charge but have never charged me) and would work
on the numbers to get it where it needs to be. Said he'd call back
later in the day, but so far no word.

Looks like I will be in an Odyssey after all but I just don't know
when.

Sometimes it's worth playing the waiting game.
Good for you.
