Yes. BIG time.

Avoid those cars like the plague. Get a 4 cylinder with manual
transmission, because the car is wonderful otherwise.

Overexageration --per a Honda mechanic, when I got the car in Dec '99, the
'99 transmissions are the same (part no.) as the '00's. That's not to say
that there hasn't been some problems with them. Without checking my paper
work, I believe that Honda has extended the warranty by 7 yrs. and up to
70,000 miles.

7 years/100K miles.

But believe me, per a Honda mechanic at a Honda dealership, at one point
they were replacing 4-5 transmissions a week--and that was a couple
years ago, when customers had to pay out of their own pocket, before
Honda finally admitted they screwed up on those transmissions.

Accord, 99-01 Odyssey, and now the 02-04 Odyssey transmission recall,
costing Honda $360 million--Honda has a serious, serious problem with
automatic transmissions over the past 5-6 years.

Not true. I work in a Honda shop. Accord transmissions (4 or 6 cyl) fail
infrequently. Elmo should not comment on things he knows nothing about.
