When i am setting the rotating fan button to position 1 and 2 there is
no air coming out of the vents. But works perfectly at position 3 and 4. Now, the question is, couls this be a problem with the rotating button or a problem with the motor? Thanks for any help. |

I had a Toyota do this years ago. Turned out that the fan speed
switch was selecting different resistors that altered the voltage to the fan, thus adjusting its speed. The resistors were mounted in the air flow, presumably to cool them. In any event, the low speed resistor (the highest value) had burned out. Repair was a simple replacement of this component. Since the fan works on 3 & 4, it is unlikely that there is anything wrong with it. It's a problem with the "rotating button". -- NEWSGROUP SUBSCRIPERS MOTTO We respect those subscribers that ask for advice or provide advice. Definitely a blower resistor, should run about $35.00 US at a dealer |
