Wondering if any other 03 Accord owners are noticing this. When I
first get in the car when it's been sitting for a few (5-6 hours) and start driving, the first time I push the brakes, I hear a pop on one side of the car (sounds like it comes from the front), then a split second later, another pop from the other side of the car. Brakes seem to be very sensative the first few uses also. Anybody else experiencing this? Thanks for any help |

The self test can result in a clunking noise of the braking system. If this is what is making your noise, it would occur in a fairly consistent amount of time after the engine is started, and the pattern of the noise would be consistent. Is this an automatic? If so, you have to push on the brake to shift the transmission. Is this when you get the noise? If it is not an automatic, do you habitually set the parking brake? If you do not set the parking brake do you get the noise? The brake sensitivity issue may just be due to the vacuum differences when the engine is cold vs warmed up. |

It does occur very consistently - the first time I press the brakes.
The sound is exactly the same every time. It is a manual transmission. I always set the parking brake. I'll try not setting it to see if the noise still happens. Thanks.
