Whenever my wife and I go out we usually see at least one Honda that's
been modded out. Sometimes it just has decals, but I've seen custom rims, under carriage lights, and "bull roarers" (don't know what they're called) on the tail pipes. That last one is kinda funny, because it produces such a big sound for such a small car. Any way I was wondering why these cars are so popular to mod? Also what's your favorite modification you did on your car? Jim |

One thing that I hate about most of the newer Honda Accords such as the 1999 Honda Accord are the muffler tips. On many cars made by other companies--the muffler tips look great but on the Honda Accords--they are very plain looking. My favorite modification--you guessed it-- new mufflers and fancy muffler tips. -- NEWSGROUP SUBSCRIPERS MOTTO We respect those subscribers that ask for advice or provide advice. I am not sure, it seems a bit of a cultural thing. They are known to be moddable, parts are available, the base car is cheap enough for younger folks, ... the "rice boy syndrome" is indeed interesting: http://www.riceboypage.com/ | Also what's your favorite modification you did on your car? Continuously variable speed control for the blower fan (changed the resistor pack, after one of the resistors blew, with a MOSFET switch and made a little control box). Boring, I know, but it was a fun electronics project. Not to mention that I'm too old (and never had any desire) to put on any "visual mods". I'm glad if my car looks plain so nobody thinks they need to steal it... -- to send e-mail, remove the socks from the address shpongloidsock@hotmail.comsock |

You might want to fix the spelling error in your motto before you buy any more muffler tips, bud. |
