Trying to decide on long term usage, reliable, and economical sedan.
My choices are 2005 Toyota Corolla CE, 2004 Honda Civic LX, 2004 Nissan Sentra 1.8s, and 2004 Mazda 3 Sedan. What recommendation should I consider? Please list negatives/positves/inherent issues with certain models? What THanks in advance for your advice. |

I always like as a starting point the little tables on reliability in the April
issue of the magazine "Consumer Reports." The tables reflect individual consumers' repair data on some 675,000 cars over the last several years or so. The tables have little black, red, and white dots to indicate the reliability of different parts of the car. E.g. exhaust system, electrical, air conditioning, etc. Also, another part of the April issue of CR gives a summary of fuel economy, prices, and which cars in particular CR recommends as overall "good buys."
