Installed a cold air intake on an RSX. Apparantly one of the dangers is
that because it sits so low and in the left front wheel area that it could suck up water. The car is lowered so it sits about 6 inches off the ground. Now...has anyone heard of that happening? Going through standing water that it could actually suck the water into the air intake? First hand knowledge only please....No urban legends... Thanks. Yes it can. Happened to a friend of mine... he also happened to work a metal
shop so he used the facilities to fashion an airpass thru that wouldn't all water up it... He drove through a deep puddle of water and it sucked water into the engine. -- Brian www.accesswave.ca/~orion Practice safe eating - always use condiments. |

I went with a short ram intake due to worries about water but to each their
own. Check out www.clubrsx.com forums for a lot more info. Dan "Mango Masher" <Mango@hachoo.com> wrote in message news:2g8a0sF534dtU1@uni-berlin.de... > Installed a cold air intake on an RSX.
