Default Accord 2004 EX. Are the steering wheel control switches illuminated ?????

Seems weird that Honda would not illuminate the controls on the
steering wheel but I don't seem to have it. Can anybody confirm this.
TIA,
Mike

Not being illuminated is one of our peeves when we got our Accord last year
but after a month, thanks that it not illuminated. You will get so used to
its placement you won't even be thinking which button to push for volume or
channels.

The whole point of putting controls on the wheel is to have them under your
fingers so you don't have to take your eyes off the road (and your hands off
the wheel).

I think if they need to be lit, somebody completely missed the boat.

I just confirmed that they are not illuminated. I don't believe to be,
either.

I find them unusable in the dark, too small, not distinguished enough
by feel, and as everyone notes, not illuminated.

Frankly, I don't like them much in the light, I think the (more
limited) wheel-mounted radio controls on my 1999 Acura CL were far
better ergonomically.

Never touch the friggin' cruise controls on either car.

J.

To me, they are fine. I end up using the voice command just as often,
unless I have the windows open....
