to remove the radio in a 97 accord you must remove the entire center
console. follow these steps:
1. remove the screws on the back of the center console sides near the floor.
2. inside the armrest storage compartment there is a false bottom that
covers 2 more screws, remove those.
3. underneath the cupholder are 2 more, out with those.
4. once those screws are removed the rear half of the center console will
lift up and out
5. where the front and rear console halves meet there are 2 scvrews remove
those.
6. remove the ashtray, straight back behind the ashtray there is 1 screw(use
a magnetic screwdriver for this one, trust me)
7. pull the black audio/heater console away from the dash.
8. the radio screws in from the front once that panel is out of the way.
have fun
