I have a '95 Honda Accord 4dr LX 2.2
My service guy told me Accords newer than 1993 have 'lifetime' fuel filters. I have 110k miles and was thinking about replacing it anyway... Should I ? Thanks, |

I saw a post a couple of months ago from a person that got a tank of gas that had some water mixed in with the gasoline. He could not figure out why he was having the many problems that can develop as a result of having water in the gas. One intelligent poster suggested that he change the fuel filter since it might have water in it. The person changed his fuel filter and the problem was solved. |

You should read a little before you post. The Honda Odyssey has the fuel
filter in the tank and never gets replaced unless fuel pressure drops. Fuel today is much cleaner and I haven't seen a blocked filter in years. My opinion on why many manufacturers still need the filter replaced is because the cheap material they make them out of deteriorates.... There may be very long lived fuel filters, but nothing last forever. One bad load of gas at a contaminated gas station can plug up the best of filters. You should live a little before you post.
