When my car is at stop, and in reverse, I feel vibration on the wheel.
This goes away as I drive forward after about 15/20 mph. Is this normal? Am I being oversensititve? Should I worry? The motor mount was replaced a few months ago. At THAT time, it was very shuddery. |

Open the hood and watch the engine as the person presses down on the gas. Make sure the emergency brake is on and the car is in park or the neutral position. Don't stand in front of the car. See if the engine is over-vibrating or shaking. Also, have the person behind the wheel keep their foot firmly on the brake and clutch pressed down as they place it in reverse. Check again to see if the engine is shaking. If it is shaking, you need to recheck all of the motor mounts. |

There is a procedure to adjust the motor mounts in your car. All 4 are
first loosened, then they are torqued to very specific values (not all the same) and in a very specific order.
