Default Re: Just bought new Element tonight.

You need to consider that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Honda
makes a great product. If you'll do your homework, Toyota's concept
SUV which looks like a cross between the Hummer and Element is
scheduled for 05 release. Also, the high end Mercedes G55 AMG with a
MSRP: $94,170.00 can't come close to reliability or value that Honda
can. Finally, the Element was built for the generations "Y" (a more
youthful crowd) I don't know how young you are or where you're from
but when I was a very young teenage surfer on the west coast of
southern CA... I dreamed of owning a "woodie wagon" I recall all the
old timers saying "That's one ugly car". However, It was The ultimate
surf mobile. The Element has a huge bang for the buck... considering
everything out there in its price and Consumer Reports predicted
reliability scores it as EXCELENT!!!

My Two Cents,
X

Default Re: Just bought new Element tonight.

I have already put about 45,000 miles on mine since bying last march. I
am not in the age group that Honda originally marketed but I think they
missed on that anyway as I have seen a much different demographic behind
the wheel.

I do quite a bit of fishing out of a kayak on the flats and it has been
a great vehicle to throw my gear in and a yak on the roof to dash down
to FL for quick weekend trips or longer.

Gas mileage with my heavy foot has been excellent as well for an
automatic AWD with an average of 20 or so mpg (I have a few months of
data to input but that was over about 30K miles. My driving is 80 mile
daily round trip commute in ATL traffic and my blasts down to central
and N FL.

The only shortcoming I see would be for families of more than 4 as that
is all the seating you have. Not a problem for me.

Enjoy it.
