Default '92 Prelude rear stabilizer bar problem

I just replaced a broken rear stabilizer bar on my 1992 Prelude S. The
old bar snapped in the middle. I'm not sure why, but I assuming it's
just from wear (194K miles). I order a new one from a Honda dealership
over the internet and it arrived in about a week. I'm trying to be a
do-it-yourself mechanic, so I wanted to put the part on myself. It
didn't look like it could be too hard. Since I didn't know I needed to
hold the bolts on the stabilizer links steady with a hex wrench in order
to take the old stabilizer bar's nuts off, I took out the stabilizer
links as well as the broken stabilizer bar. On the new stabilizer bar,
I noticed a yellow line that looked like it should line up with the
center of the car, and 2 white lines on either side of the bar that
should line up with the placement of the bushing brackets. These white
markings matched the placement of the bushings on the old bar. When I
installed the stabilizer bar with the bushings in this configuration and
the yellow mark lining up with the center of the car, the passenger side
stabilizer link would rub up against a part of the braking system
attached to the body that has a metal line going in the bottom and a
rubber line coming out the top. I could not leave it like this; hit one
bump and I'd have lost my braking! After playing around with the
positioning of the stabilizer bar, I ended up moving it about 3 inches
toward the passenger side in order for nothing to be rubbing on either
side of the bar or links. A hard turn to the left will still cause the
link or bold connecting the link and bar to rub on this part.

Does anyone have any idea what is going on here? Do I still need to do
