Hello:
Have a new Accord, and am a bit concerned about theft. Was wondering how effective the "micro-chip key" that is apparently required to start the engine "really" is in deterring theft ? Or, is it mostly a "feel-good" kind of thing ? If it is effective, how is it that the Accords are about the most stolen vehicles ? How is it done then; are they just towed ? "The Club" steering wheel lock much of a deterrent ? Thanks, Bob |

When I first got it, the forgot to program the keys, and I could start it, but not go more then 3 feet without the engine cutting out. I'm sure a good theif may have a way of getting around it, but it is probably enough to diffuse ametuers. |

I don't believe you will have to worry about your vehicle being stolen unless you live in or visit on a regular basis high crime areas. The club works great but most people that own them don't bother to install them. I have one and rarely ever use it unless I am on vacation in a city. It takes about 5 minutes to install or mount and it's a hassle--especially if you or I are in a hurry. |
