1986 Honda Accord. I think it is in the fuel system. Engine cranks over good
like it is trying to start, but hear no "fire". Any tips on easy way to
check fuel flow ? I disconnected the fuel filter (the one in the engine
compartment) no flow there. maybe a fuel pump? Any sugestions?

Unplug the coil and while having someone crack it, see if there is any
spark. If so, and you have fuel, take the distributor cap off and crank
again and see if it turns? If not, your timing belt broke.

If the engine rotates but will not start--these are some of the causes

Leaking fuel injectors
faulty fuel pump
faulty pressure regulator
fuel not reaching fuel rail
Ignition components damp or damaged
Loose distributer is changing ignition timing
faulty coil
broken timing belt
defective fuel pump relay

If it's carbureted, try pouring a couple of ounces (not quarts) of gas
down the carb. That will prove if you have spark without the danger of
spoiling your spouses' Christmas by electrocution (yours). :-)
