Default Integra LS

Hi,

Do LS's originally come in VTEC? or do they have to be modified to have
them? How do they perform? They are pretty light so with VTEC Im assuming
they'll do pretty well. Anyone know?

Only the GS-R and the TYPE-R have VTEC.

I don't believe they do. With any Honda vehicle, the best way to figure it
out is to raise the hood. If you see the word VTEC engraved on the
engine--it's VTEC. If it is NOT a VTEC engine--you won't see that word
engraved on the engine. As far as I know--there are no exceptions to this
rule.

4 Cylinder Odyssey ('95-98) does not have VTEC engraved on the valve cover,
but it is. Looking for the word is not a good way to tell. That being
said, Integra LS's do not have a VTEC engine.

I've not heard of anyone modifying engines to add VTEC. It is probably
simpler to swap the engine out.

=======================

I-tripple-E,

I'm guessing you'r in America, but the first generation Odysseys (built
in Japan, shipped to Canada) only had V-Tecs in '98, the previous years
were all non-V-Tec. Then they switched body style to the larger model
with sliding doors on the side for '99.
