Sarah's father does not have hardly any car repair equipment but does have an excellent collection of tools. He has a OBD II scanner. He also has a timing light and a device to test the voltage of his battery. I want to buy him a device for less than a $100.00. What device should I buy him for Christmas to help him figure out what is wrong if his fairly new Ford Mustang develops a problem? |

A good (factory?) service manual for his car?

Get him a service manual on cd. People are selling those things for cheap on eBay. Next best thing to having a shop manual and they often have the most recent updates. I don't know how many people want to pound their way through the interface they setup on it, but overall I like it.
