Maybe somebody can give some advice..
This is Accord LX, '96, automatic, about 90000 miles. The problem is - only when accelerating and suddenly release accel. pedal I can hear squeky vibrating sound (it looks like it's coming more from the driver side). It doesn't matter what gear I'm in. Also after starting a car and driving, it won't do that immediately, just after about 0.5 mile. It doesn't do that also if I'm driving at constant speed and releasing accel. pedal. All fluid checks seems ok, there's no vibrations, nor steering problems - nothing, just this kinda loud sound at those particular moments. I'd appreciate any ideas Thanks! |

Hugo,
You didn't mention when you changed your timing belt... could be overtightened, but the description of the sound doesn't match very well.... OR: Take a look under your distributor cap to see if there's red powder (rust) inside. Maybe do a Yahoo groups search for 'red rust' if you find it. P.S. Don't drive it for long if it's there. Timing belt I never touched.
Removed distributor cap - everything looks clean. Also tried to get DTC codes, but no lights blinking in test mode, and I don't have OBD tool. Could it be power steering pump...or transmission?...
