I am replacing the brake roters on my 1990 accord. After taking off all the nessesary things i can not take the disc off because of this large bolt. The bolt is in the center and won't come off, do i have to take it to a mechanic or can i do this with the right tools myself. Thanks > If the "large bolt" in the "center" is the axle nut, then yes, you will need to take it off. This is usually the first step in the process of removing the brake rotors. You can either use a 1/2" impact gun to remove it, or you can reassemble the suspension to the point where you can use the brakes to prevent the hub from turning and use a 24" breaker bar to loosen the nut. http://www.honda.co.uk/owner/AccordManual/400/12-18.pdf Eric |
