Default Towing

I have a new CR-V which has a towing-weight spec of 1500 pounds.
I am considering a lightweight Scamp travel trailer that weighs about that
much.

If anybody has experience towing anything with a CR-V, I will appreciate
your comments and advice.

Thanks,
Carl

Carl,
I would suggest that you are attacking the wrong problem. No doubt your CR-V
will pull the trailer but the prime consideration, IMHO, is can your CR-V
stop the combination safely and within a reasonable distance. Also, consider
the tongue weight of the trailer and the max hitch weight of your vehicle.

If you have your manual, I would consider reading it to get accurate
information.
