Anybody have any tricks to putting tension on belts in a 98 Civic? The
components (alternator) seems to "float" on a relatively 3 inch straight track, with a bolt to fasten the component in place, thus placing tension on the belt. Seems like their is about a 2 inch gap between the component and the engine block. Not sure if using a wrecking bar as a lever would work, as this gap seems too large for it. All advice cheerfully appreciated! |

I use a small crowbar usually.
