Anyway, I can say, that these tires a much-much better than crappy Firestone FR690. /Alex ----== Posted via Newsfeed.Com - Unlimited-Uncensored-Secure Usenet News==---- http://www.newsfeed.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! >100,000 Newsgroups ---= 19 East/West-Coast Specialized Servers - Total Privacy via Encryption =--- |

Your definitely cheating yourself by restricting to only 1 set of wheels. A
quality set of snow tires will easily last you over 5 years. My Nokia Hakka 1 will be going on it's 5th winter (and they look like they can go another 5 winters). For the summer, the Toyo Proxes have been through 4 summers and have over 100,000km on them. I've been ridding on them since the summer of 1999 when I got rid the crappie firestone. To my shame, I gave barely used firestone to my sister for her 93 Civic, which was a big mistake since she ended up wrecking her car into a tree after an SUV cut her off. Her car fish-tailed when she tried to avoid getting hit and then she lost control. If she had a better set of tire, the car probably would have kept it's footing. If you're concerned about safety, get dedicated summer and winter. Pars chibitul wrote: > I got a 2001 Civic LX manual. I like in New England.
