Default Would changing transmission fluid at every oil change hurt anything

since I'm already under there and already dirty and its only a couple bucks
for the oil

Assuming you don't have the equipment to flush your transmission, you don't
really change all your transmission fluid, only about half of it every
time.

So, in reply to your question, if you do it yourself, maybe not every oil
change, but certainly more often than recommended.

You've assumed it's an automatic.
