Default remote transmitter key

Hi all,
I had some extensive work done on my 2007 Accord EXL a couple of weeks ago,
wheel, strut, rotor, tire replaced. The battery must have been disconnected
beause I had to reset the code on the radio. The radio is working fine,
however the remote transmitter keys will open and lock the door but the
panic button does not function. Also, the headlights do not go on when
pressing the unlock button and the horn does not beep when pressing lock
button.

Any ideas how to correct this problem?

Thanks

Those repairs have nothing to do with the electrical system and there'd be
no reason to disconnect the battery. You might want to check with the
mechanic who did the work and ask him if he did. Something else may well be
going on.

Tony,
Experincing the same with both remotes.
I do know that part of the repair was replacing a defective wheel bearing
which was causing a problem with the ABS system. I know they connected to
car computer looking for ABS problem.
I am sure the battery was disconnected due to the fact that I had to enter
radio code.
I will contact the mechanic.

Thanks,

Hi,
I do know some remote needs reprogramming if either car battery or
remote battery was disturbed. May have to check with your Honda dealer.

"the remote transmitter keys will open and lock the
door but the panic button does not function. Also, the headlights do not
go on when pressing the unlock button and the horn does not beep when
pressing lock button."

I'm experiencing pretty much the same problem. My guess is that the system
thinks that one of the doors (or hood, trunk) is still open. Most likely
there is an open in the wiring from one of these areas. The alarm system
also does not arm which kind of solidifies my thinking.

Often, the features on the key fob can be enabled or disabled. Go back
to the mechanic and have them enable the panic feature.
