Default U.S. Quart or Imperial

This may be a goofy question , but here it goes. When reference is
made in the manual for capacities they say for example the tranny
takes 4 quarts. Up here in Canada it is all metric. When converteing
do I use U.S. ? Thanks

In the Owners Manual for my 2001 Accord, the units of measure are
listed in both U.S. and Imperial Measurements.
