Default 1st 7.5k mile oil chage

My '03 Accord is getting close to it. Happen to receive a coupon mailer from
my dealer -- $99 for this service! The main thing is really changing
oil/filter. The rest is bs like "check fluid level....". Has anyone just
told the dealer to do oil change for somethink like $35? Effect on warranty?

All my dealer did for this service is change the oil, check the fluids and
wash the car ($24.95)

My dealer did the first oil change free. I think this is a message from
them to you that you really don't want them servicing your car.

Absolutely no effect on the warranty if you skip this. You do need to get
the oil changed though.

Run as far away from that dealer as you can and never go back. In my
neck of the woods (MN), all the Midas muffler shops offer an oil
change for $13.

This is a terrible deal. The owner must think his customers are fools. The
local Honda Dealer charges about $30.00 for a oil and filter change. They
also check and replenish all fluids. Check the ads in your local paper or
in those coupon clipper things that come with the junk mail. You should be
able to find a service station near your home or local mechanic that will
give you a much better deal. In my town, they have something called Jiffy
Lube that has good deals but many of the employees are high school and
college kids that know little or nothing about cars.
