For the 4 cylinder version: 20 city, 27 highway, 23 combined. It sounds like it is getting pretty much what it should. |

actuaaly i checked everything, i was a machanic for years (in the 70’s
& 80’s) i had the car put on a analyser and all systems cleared after 2 new oxygen sensors,no hot break’s, i was recently told the v.tec with the 4sp auto wasn’t that great on mileage but i would still apreciate your input( oh yes, the trans also check’s out, "jim beam" wrote: > stephen wrote: > > 1998 accord ex ,v6. im getting 22mpg with a mix of > city-hwy travel > > does this sound about right? what would this be with a 4cyl > car? the > > car all checks out in good working order.I drive very > conservitable. > > this is my first small car im used to guzzeling trucks. > should these > > cars make more? > > > there's a ton of things to check. ignition system, air > filter, > brakes... even the coolant temp sensor can have a calibration > problem > and need replacement... without more info, we're in the dark > - what > have you checked so far? |
