With the tank capacity from the manual, and the amount required to fill the tank once the light comes on, he knows everything that's necessary to answer his question. Usenet is not meant to substitute for a pocket calculator. |

To judge from all the "how do I reset my maintenance require indicator" questions, it's actually meant to replace the manufacturer's written instructions. It's amazing how many people come here first, before cracking the book or using common sense--and then believe everything they read here. |

I missed the part where he said that the warning light was actually on. Maybe he wants this information for future reference when the situation actually occurs. I know it made me a little nervous until I filled up the first time it happened to me. My previous honda ran out of gas just before the light came on. Maybe now that I'm an expert I can answer posts with a smart-ass attitude. |

Coz the light on my civic kind of does that - you know sometimes on and sometimes off. At that point, I have about 3 gallons or so. It starts staying on all the time when I am down to about 2. |
