I know I can start my 87 Accord DX without depressing the clutch, just so long as it's in neutral. BTW, you should mention what model and trim level your car is when asking for locations of switches and things of the sort. I think they added that in 88. The 86 and 87 will start without pushing in

oops, critical typo below, let's say my car starts with
me standing outside the car leaning in to start it (in any gear). Anyone in the snowbelt will appreiciate that.
