Default 91 civic disc brake conversion

Putting on 90 CRX Si disc and wondering if anyone had done this and if
so, what parts, tools, ect. were needed...
Thanks, Jim

you basically need all the parts off the si, with the possible exception
of the hand brake cables which might be too short. the 92-95 civic ex
has rear disks and you can use those cables.

make sure you use the correct proportioning valve. i think it's marked
3540. google this group for some info i posted on that a while back.

fyi, there's not a massive amount of point using a crx as a donor. it
has standard size front disks and servo. you're better off using a
92-95 civic ex or an integra as the donor - bigger disks. in the case
of the ex, bigger direct fit servo too. the integra has a different
servo and master cylinder, which is a pita, but it has the 4040
proportioning valve.

if you're not swapping out the whole rear suspension arms, what most
people do, you'll need a #50 torx socket for the stub axles. do /NOT/
use those one-piece drives from lisle - they're utter crap and shear
off. get a two-piece driver from an auto parts supplier like napa.
