Sounds like the CV joints - have they ever been replaced?

Nope. Is this an expensive repair?

HI,

CV joints run about $100Cdn for the left and $80Cdn for the right(after
core) + labour.

I just changed a right one out on my 90 Civic HB 5spd on the weekend.
