Default Major ISPs dropping alt.* or all Usenet groups

Verizon has announced they're dropping alt.* among others.

If you want to request they reconsider, here's the contact:

this is apparently in response to New York pressure to cut down on

The two reasons together were too much for them to resist, apparently,
but they could still do it smarter, keep a few light weight text-only
groups like this one.
