I just paid $435 for timing and counter shaft and all drive belts and
water pump and antifreeze on a'95 Accord LX 4 cyl. I've been letting it go till 100,000 miles. A local Honda mechanic who just went into business for himself did it. bob Steve M wrote: > > WHen is the timing belt due to be changed and what should I expect to > pay |

Honda suggests doing it at 90,000 miles or 6 years whatever comes first. I paid about $600 at the dealer. That included the timing belt, a new water pump, and new serpantine belt as well. in article 3f203384.7756573@netnews.comcast.net, Steve M at ltlfeat@hotmail.com wrote on 7/24/03 15:30: > WHen is the timing belt due to be changed and what should I expect to > pay |

I bought the water pump from hparts.com (around $45) and brought it to the dealer for them to put on. They replaced all the drivebelts at the same time and re-filled with Honda AF. Total cost from dealer: $236.43. They also lubed my clutch, gave me an oil and filter change, and installed an exhaust finisher at no additional charge. Good dealer! -patrick |
