Still stumped....
I have swapped distributors including the cap, installed a new fuel filter, swapped the fuel regulator....no luck the car still does not want to start when cold and seems to miss and hesitate slightly when put under load once I get to run I checked the fuel pump flow and I have a question....how fast should fuel start to flow when the fuel return line is disconnected. The manual says the pump should deliver 8 ounces in ten seconds but fuel doesn't flow for the first 3 or 4 seconds once the pump is started through the ignition switch (main relay terminal jumped). Is this a problem? Once fuel is flowing, the pump delivers 8 ounces in ten seconds roughly. Should I be chasing this at all? Any ideas? If it's an electric fuel pump, they usually need a few seconds to
build up fuel pressure...that's normal. Sounds like it's working okay...ask a Honda tech at the dealer to be sure though (or look in your Haynes/Chilton/factory manual). John D.
