Saves $30, but still and all... That was for the labour. I had purchased the filtres a couple of weeks ago for $18.70 each (they are both the same) plus tax. I was going to do it myself, but, after standing on my head in this heat, I opted to take it to the dealer. And, even though they charge half an hour for labour (per the book), it took the technician just under an hour and a half to do the job. That was counting cleaning the grease from his hands, off of the dash. I still don't understand why he was working on the interior of the vehicle with dirty hands. -- Brian www.accesswave.ca/~orion |

The Purolator filters come 2 in a box for US$11. |

Damn mechanics. That's one of the reasons why I hate taking my car to the
shop. They should've at least cleaned their hands before working inside the car (and cover the seats before sitting there) Can't help it, I'm a neat freak :-) "Brian Smith" <Halifax@NovaScotia.Canada> wrote in message news:cGbRa.42276$PD3.274656@nnrp1.uunet.ca... > > I still don't understand why he was working on the interior of the vehicle > with dirty hands. > > -- > Brian > www.accesswave.ca/~orion > |

I will be talking to the shop foreman about it. |

True, filthy/scummy mechanics are something we all want to keep out of
our cars...they probably play your stereo as loud as it goes, too...or even louder! ;-) But how about the "mechanics" who lose or break parts, round-off nuts/boltheads or some other rank novice faux-pas? Do we have a choice which type of "added value" mechanic will work on our cars nowadays? Not at most places! ;-) John D.
