Hello,
I have a 2002 Honda CR-V EX. I like the vehicle, overall, but it seems to me that the sound system in it is somewhat lacking in power. For example, when playing certain CDs, the volume needs to be turned up to near maximum just to overcome road noise. Does anyone know of any sort of "power booster" for the sound system that comes on the CR-V EX? I know that there's a subwoofer option, but the problem isn't so much lack of bass, but just general lack of power to the sound system. I'm reluctant to go to the expense and hassle of replacing the system outright, since it otherwise seems to be pretty decent. TIA, Craig |

The factory radios are junk! I replaced the head unit in my 01, from
Crutchfield. Installed a Pioneer $129.00 new Pioneer speakers $50 pr front and rear.$100 total. I think part of the problem is the speakers are crap, start out with speakers, even if you replace the head unit the old speakers don't cut it. They rattle from the new power.A amp or any type of booster is going to rattle the speakers. It is a bitch to replace the radio even with the instructions, I would never do it again as I was afraid of breaking something. Its a day and night difference in preformance now.
