Crossovers are hot, and as another Accord derivative it was cheap to
build. Besides, BMW was doing the same thing building a bigger,
taller version of their sedans. On paper as a feature list it looks
great. Rolling down the street - not so much. I don't see BMW moving
a lot of those units, either.

Acura also has RDX and MDX, so the ZDX was just redundant.

Is the Honda Crossfire also being axed?

indeed. and if you're a detroit executive, what finer opportunity could
you have than an insider still loyal to you and willing to sell their
employer, your competition, down the river?

otoh, if honda are dumb enough to not look at the approaching icebergs,
not willing to take the rudimentary measures to monitor the orders their
usa captain is giving, and are prepared to relinquish so much control
that local management is able to hole them below the waterline and keep
all the emergency compartment doors open, then i'm afraid honda deserve
what they're going to get because they're being completely retarded.

honda got screwed in europe too:

they had invested hugely in rover on the understanding that they were
first in line on the inevitable divestment sale. but they never got the
call - bmw did. an ass-****ing that was simply shameful.
