More stubborn dents (again assuming they are just in the plastic cover) can be popped out with a "Pops-a-dent" (available at many auto parts stores) with heat from a hair dryer. When heating it isn't the temperature that is important so much as giving the heat time to soak in, at least three minutes or so.
