Default break issues

hi, i just bought a 90 accord LX as is ($345), but the breaks are
awful.

i bought fresh pads and calipers, installed them but the breaks are
still not operable. i took the tires off and it turns out the pads
aren’t even hitting the rotor when the break pedal is pressed.

my father suspected something with the pistons, but we exchanged the
old parts for new ones so that wouldn’t make sense.

whats wrong? we tried bleeding them in the order the hayes repair
manual stated, but nothing.

BRAKES, not "breaks". Unless you break your brakes, of course...

And your brakes are broken, evidently.

Is your pedal spongy or firm? Does it stop going down well up from the
floor?

In this case you need to have a competent mechanic look at your brakes. If
you've replaced the calipers and the pistons are still not forcing the pads
against the rotor, then you've either got air still trapped in there, slide
pins seized, pads seized on their mounts, or defective calipers.

Exactly how did you bleed the new calipers? The best way is to bleed them
OFF the mount bracket, with a piece of wood stuffed in to prevent the
piston from being ejected. You turn the caliper, tapping with a nylon
mallet, while bleeding.

My favorite misspelling is one made by a woman in a group my wife
frequents.

This woman was one of your "Wicca" types. She was Googling for information
on how to make an altar at which to worship her golden calf or whatever it
was.

She posted a message to the group complaining bitterly about how little
information was available about altars, and about how there must be some
kind of conspiracy against Wiccans.

Know what was wrong? In all her searches and posts to the group, she was
repeatedly spelling it "alter".

Eventually somebody pointed out her spelling mistake, after which nothing
was heard from her. Either she was too embarrassed to come back or she
found what she needed.

What does a dyslexic agnostic insomniac do at night?

He lies awake all night, wondering if there really is a dog.

An error, nonetheless. grammatical, but still an error.
