Default 1996 Honda Civic cx Map Sensor again! Twice now

50,000 miles and the thing goes again on a new replaced one from japan. Map
sensor was replaced at 25,000 miles but about 8 years ago. Haven't driven
the car much lately. Check engine light stays on all the time. Am not paying
to have it replaced 'cause they wanted too much but may flunk the emissions
control test. Other than that the car runs perfect. Should i bitch to honda
as there should have been a recall on this item but there never was. From
what i've heard the item was replaced in about 10 percent of the civics sold
on 1996. Will the engine eventually just die on me if i keep on driving it
like it is?
