All Honda manuals I've ever read said "Don't expect the Honda tranny to hold the car on an incline", or words to that effect. Solved.. |

The Civic just took off and went forward, not rolling back first. |

Why can't you do the same thing when you're stopped on a hill? It's perfectly acceptable to use the handbrake or service brakes for holding a vehicle stationary on a hill, whether or not there is other traffic. |
