My 2004 Accord has come back from the body shop just before the long
New Years weekend. The inside door opening lever on the passenger side wasn't opening. My son thought it was like a child-proof feature on a BMW and pressed in the plastic latch in the door. Now the door won't close - the metal latch on the frame just bangs against the plastic latch on the door. If I push the plastic latch in on the driver's side, the door also won't close but I can release the plastic latch by pulling on the door opening lever. Presumably, the body shop will be able to reassemble the door on Tuesday (I assume Monday will be treated as a holiday). I'd like to be able to lock the car before then. Any ideas? Thanks Mike |
